Wilkins Fair 2024
Wilkins 2024 Fair Day
The Biennial Wilkins Fair Day happening this year on Sunday 8th September. It’s a huge event on the local calendar, with over 5,000 people visiting the school on the day for rides, games, performances and food.
The day will feature:
- 10 carnival rides including a giant slide, safari train, pirate ship, the tea cups and The Storm (plenty for big and small kids) - all covered by our popular unlimited rides wristband
- The perennial favourite Sideshow Alley featuring retro carnival games like Hole in One, fishing for rubber duckies and balloon pop
- Performances all day from Wilkins kids and the community - school ensembles, martial arts and rock bands
- Spin and win on the Prize Wheel
- Toss some gold coins on the Chocolate Trailer
- Hair braiding and coloured sprays
- Sponge Bob water throws to soak your favourite teachers and local personalities
- Jams, plants and gifts from the Wilkins Green
- Basketball competition run by Little Ballers (register for the 3x3 comp online)
- FREE AusKick games
- FREE State Soccer activities
- FREE Girls Guides crafting area
Throughout the day everyone can stay well sustained with handmade delights from the canteen including spring rolls, pulled pork buns, toasties and fruit salad. The lemonade stand is back with hand squeezed lemonade - but get in quick as it sold quickly last fair! The cake stall will be pumping with fresh baked delights, including some from famous and talented parents. The classic BBQ will be there, with traditional meat and vegan options for the whole family. We have also invited a few food trucks like Chip on a Stick, Gaza Stripped Streetfood and Cheezy Does it to ensure noone goes hungry.
We will have an ATM onsite so you have al the cash you need for the day.
Unlimited rides wristbands are on sale now until Friday September 6th, so buy yours today at the discounted rate.
This year the school community has decided to raise money to go towards upgrading and extending the current play equipment areas, which are looking tired, starting to break and lack the capacity required for our 500 students. We are planning to fund a range of stimulating nature-based equipment which will give children the opportunity to explore, play and relax in a calm outdoor space, utilising existing spaces and improving the space for generations of kids to come.

How you can support our fair
We are seeking donations of gifts and vouchers for our raffle and online auction. Email us at wilkinspnc.events@gmail.com to donate, or speak with a P&C exec member in the school playground.
Such a mammoth event requires the whole community to pitch in. We are asking Wilkins Public School parents and carers to SignUp today to volunteer on a stall. Shifts are 1.5 hours long so you can have plenty of time to enjoy the day, or even help out on two stalls.
